Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless gas resulting from incomplete combustion. It mixes freely with air and is absorbed through the lungs at a rate 200 times the absorption rate of oxygen. It accumulates in the red blood cells and displaces oxygen. Small concentrations of CO can cause health problems.
