Optical Turnstiles consist of two or more bollards placed in a parallel arrangement that form pedestrian walkways. Persons traveling through the walkway are screened by the use of a conventional access control device, i.e.: card reader, proximity reader, etc. Audible and visual annunciators are used to communicate with the pedestrian concerning walkway usage and access control violations. Walkways may be configured to operate with Card-In/Card-Out access control, or with Card-In/Free-Exit.
