The Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI) NevoSL universal remote control allows users to access and control digital media and other devices throughout the home from a single wireless handheld controller. According to UEI, the device can control virtually all home theater and stereo equipment, enabling users to "play any song, display any digital picture, and view any movie in any room from the palm of their hand."

The NevoSL is powered by an embedded computer running Microsoft Windows CE 4.2 on a 203MHz Samsung embedded processor, equipped with 64MB SDRAM and 32MB nonvolatile Flash memory.

The device includes a high-power consumer-infrared (CIR) interface that can communicate with a wide range of consumer electronics equipment. UEI supports the unit with an extensive database of CIR codes, which are claimed to provide compatibility with virtually all home entertainment devices.

The NevoSLs user interface consists of a 3.5-inch diagonal QVGA (320x240 resolution) LCD color touchscreen display, along with 17 programmable keys and a scroll wheel. Setup is simplified by means of configuration wizards, combined with auto-discoverery of digital media content.
