Krell uses high performance, discrete topologies throughout the SACD Standard, including the multi-channel gain stages. Surface Mount Technology, a state-of the art circuit miniaturization technique, provides the circuit density and signal transfer capability demanded by complex Krell circuit designs.
Matched 24-bit /192 kHz DACs are used on all channels, and the balanced left and right output circuitry provides optimal stereo playback. The current output signal of the DACs is fed directly to the Krell Current Mode audio circuitry. Avoiding the deleterious effect of a current-to-voltage conversion stage contributes greatly to the resolving quality of SACD Standard.
The Krell Current Mode output stage maintains wide signal bandwidth and low level linearity and transmits every bit of detail available from the SACD format, while a new multi-channel output brings the exciting musical perspective of six-channel sound to a Krell source. A stylish, discreetly sized remote control offers convenience and easy operation of the SACD Standard, including the volume control of any Krell preamplifier, preamp/processor or integrated amplifier. RS-232 and 12 VDC trigger input and output allows for easy integration into large or small custom applications.
