Crestron CNX-PVID8x4

The CNX-PVID8x4 is a professional video switcher for baseband video switching, or as a component in Crestron CAT5 video distribution systems, delivering video from up to 64 separate video sources, into as many as 32 separate rooms and areas. It accepts Component, S-Video and NTSC/PAL Composite sources, including HDTV signals, and distributes them to display devices in various rooms via standard CAT5 structured wiring. It is typically used with the Crestron CNXRMC, CNXRMCLV, C2N-DAP8 and C2N-DAP8RC room solution boxes. This revolutionary distribution method ensures a balanced signal for long runs, making it possible to equalize, adjust and boost the gain of the video signal for the perfect picture. The CNX-PVID8x4s unique design features four levels of video inputs and outputs, each highly configurable for a variety of video formats. Each of the four levels of switcher boards implements a video matrix with 16 RCA inputs and 8 RCA outputs for direct connection to local display devices. The top board may also be used for 16 channels of distributed digital audio. In addition, the PVID8x4 contains a total of 8 RJ45 outputs for distributing any of the video or digital audio signals via CAT5 in up to 8 rooms throughout the system. Regardless of configuration, all inputs have a built-in Video Sync Sensor that reports power/activity status of all source devices attached to the PVID8x4. Levels 1 through 3 can be jumped together as an expanded level, allowing any combination of up to 32 Composite, Component and S-Video inputs and outputs for a wide array of needs.
