PCS Lighting Module

Powerline Control Systems has designed a series of high-power lighting modules that controls up to four circuits and up to 2000W of lighting. The loads can be controlled remotely by powerline carrier signals or locally with inexpensive remote slave switches. When installed properly, the LM4/LM1 series can provide a very reliable and inexpensive alternative to any hard-wired lighting system.

The modules are all constructed of rugged black anodized aluminum. The LM4/LM1 series is provided with an internal fuse that protects the output circuits against overload or short circuits. The enclosure is designed with heavy duty heat sinking for reliable operation in the harshest environments.

To facilitate the use of LM4/LM1 units PCS has designed the LCP Nema 1 type electrical panels. These NEMA 1 type enclosures provide for a very clean professional installation of multiple LM4s. See the LCP data sheet.

The PCS SceneMaster lighting control system allows the designer/installer to implement up to sixteen pre-set scenes for each circuit. The scenes lighting levels can easily be changed using SceneMasters innovative programming system. When initial programming is complete, just one X-10 ON command (less than 0.6 seconds) is all you need to activate any group of lights simultaneously.

The SceneMaster lighting system allows "room" scenes (such as home theater, dining room), "pathway" scenes (such as lights from kitchen to pool house) and "whole-house" scenes or house-modes (such as "night", "away", "home", "alarm"). Every scene can have a different ramp rate and every light in a scene can have a different pre-set level.

Installation

• Pre-wire
  Mount a standard four-gang box or RACO 953 box. Run two #12 wires for line-in and neutral, two #12 for each load and two #12 for each remote slave switch.
