The MultiTasker® Mid-Sized Video Matrix Switcher Series (MT MVMS) is a line of video matrix switcher cards designed for use in MultiTasker enclosures to allow the routing of computer and broadcast video in audio/visual presentation systems. Consisting of 8x8, 8x16, 16x8 and 16x16 configurations, the MT MVMS Series provides a solution for many medium-sized configurations, and is particularly well-suited for high tech boardroom/conference room installations. Inputs are selected via easy-to-use ASCII commands from a control system or computer connected to the RS-232 port of a MultiTasker enclosure. Depending on the requirements of your system, the matrix switcher can be ordered to handle the following signal formats: Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video, RGsB, RGBS, or RGBHV. A single 16x8 MT MVMS card can accomplish up to 8x4 switching of S-video; 16x8 switching of formats with multiple signal channels may require multiple MT MVMS cards. For example, five MT MVMS cards can switch 16 X 8 RGBHV, with the MT105-110 used for the "H" and "V" Sync channels. When using the MT MVMS cards to switch RGBHV format signals, it is possible to adapt the 5 BNC connectors to a VGA-type, 15-pin HD connector using ALTINEX adapter cables, such as part # MS8102CA. The higher performance MT105-100 and MT105-102 cards offer video bandwidths of 425 and 450 MHz @ -3dB respectively, and are capable of handling up to QXGA resolutions. Also in these two cards is GLI on Board™ , which provides protection against "hum bars," artifacts, and potential equipment damage caused by ground loops that are often present in audio/visual presentation systems. For more economical applications that do not involve the use of extremely high-resolution computer video signals, use the MT105-101 (16x8), MT105-115 (8x16) or MT105-103 (8x8) cards. The MT105-101 and MT105-103 are designed for 325 MHz bandwidth @ -3dB performance, and do not provide GLI on the inputs. The MT105-115 operate with 200 MHz @ -3dB and provides GLI on input. The MT105-112 16x16 matrix card also provides a bandwidth of 325 MHz, and provides both GLI on the inputs and Genlock capability, which allows for Vertical Interleave Switching (VIS) on the outputs. Finally, the MT105-110 (16 x 8), MT105-111 (8x8), MT105-118 (8x16), and MT105-119 (16x16) cards were designed to accommodate the special impedance requirements of the "H" and "V" Sync channels, or the "S" channel of RGBS systems
